Message From The Seller

It’s really a great little property and a very reluctant sale so as a lock up and leave or a permanent home it will do anybody proud. The people in the village have been very pleasant and more than willing to help with my French. My next door neighbour is a great friend. The TV room, or snug as we call it, has a single bed which is the sofa. And with the pear tree and grapes in the garden it is a great little pad .

Property Video Tour

Pretty village house with courtyard and garage within walking distance of shops.

The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors and benefits from double glazed windows and a recent new slate roof and battens to the front elevation.  It has been renovated over the last 6 years by the present owner.  There are 2/3 bedrooms with a pretty loft conversion providing a spacious master bedroom, and a small, enclosed, courtyard garden to the front of the house.  Viewing is recommended.

The property is situated in a small village located on the border of the departments of Manche and Orne.  The house is within easy walking distance of  a bakery, small supermarket, post office, newsagents, bar, hairdresser, vet and garage.  The medieval town of Domfront is 6km distant and 62 km from Alencon, the department capital. The village  is 228 km from Paris (or 2 hours 15 minutes by train) and 324 km from the port at Calais or about 1 hour 30 minutes to the port at Caen Ouistreham.   Facilities can be also be found at the spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne (22 km).  The nearest large town is Flers (24km).  The coast at Granville is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away.
