So it is a completely independent system from grid system generated by 12x 125w mono crystal panels charged through a morning star charge controler into batteries 24x YUASA EN160-6V LEAD ACID, set up to 48v to run a victron phoenix inverter 48/500 providing standard 230v power to the house, power and storage.  For me was it sufficient to have a abundance of power in the summer and just enough in the depths of winter as these are all well established brands and a robust system that I installed, which provides power for most of the everyday electrical items, lights, tv, phone/laptop/powertool chargers, the fridge/freezer. The oven and hob run on gas,

I wouldn’t like to put a price on electricity or water connection as pricing may have changed significantly since back in 2007, interested parties would have to do there own research regarding connections, however back then water was around €1200 with electricity was €650 if this was doubled for inflation €4000 to connect,

Both mains electricity and water are less than 6meters from the properties boundary,
