Message From The Seller

One thing I have always loved about the house is the view from the first floor and the attic, especially in the winter. You can look out of the rear aspect windows and see all the way down the frost covered valley. It really is beautiful.

We have thoroughly enjoyed using this house as both lock and leave and as a permanent residence over the time we have owned it. The school, post office, small supermarket, patisserie and an excellent GP help keep the village thriving and practical.
Highlights from our guests over the years include :
‘Going for a Sunday morning croissant in your slippers’
‘Two local bar restaurants, one English one very traditional French- and no car needed’
‘Fosse Artour- fabulous walking and no worries about the dog’

Spacious three storey village house with basement and garden in Normandy

The property is in the village centre and offers fully renovated, spacious, family accommodation or a “lock and leave” holiday home.  It is within a short level walk of bars, restaurants, bakery, Doctor’s surgery, pharmacy, hardware store and Post Office.  It benefits from double glazed windows with roller shutters and an enclosed garden.  Viewing highly recommended.

The property is in the village of  Ger (with all everyday amenities) and with easy access to the popular market town of Sourdeval. Sourdeval is a thriving market town where excellent shopping facilities, restaurants and bars are available. It is situated in the Southwest of Normandy, near the border of Manche and Calvados.  Further amenities are available at Flers, including a train station giving access to Paris Charles de Gaulle.  The beaches on the west coast are an hour’s drive away and the property  is approximately 80 minutes drive from the port of Caen and an hour and forty minutes from Cherbourg. A little further afield are the D-Day landing beaches and the Mont St Michel.  The Lac de la Dathée, ideal for walking, fishing and boating, and an 18 hole golf course are within 20 minutes drive,  as is the Saint Sever forest.
