We love the market on Wednesday in St Hilaire, people from all over travel there. There’s lots of restaurants, banks, shops, etc. plus a Swimming Pool. Also lots of neighbours come to our house to play boules, both French and English. 2 weeks a year St Hilaire has a large festival. It’s a vibrant Town, and roughly only 11km from our house. It’s a very close neighbourhood and people are very friendly. Mortain is only 8 km from our house, lovely shops and cafes. Good Supermarkets in both towns. Also Juvigny Les Vallees nice village 2 km away.

The nearest airport is at Dinard.  The village of Juvigny le Tertre is about 5 minutes away for everyday shopping.  More extensive facilities can be found at  Mortain or  St Hilaire du Harcouët (both about 20 minutes drive).  One of the largest regional markets in Normandy is held in St Hilaire each Wednesday morning.
