Message From The Seller

It is situated in most wonderful countryside with rolling hills and peace and quiet except for an occaisional tractor going past. You hear the sounds of sheep and geese and hoses and if you are a country lover you would love it  here. The garden is not too large and the trees we planted such as silver birch and fir trees and hawthorn round the boundary give it character. The access to it from UK is wonderful as this can be by ferry to the ports and good road connection also there is Ryan Air to Dinard about 1.3/4 hrs away by hired car. Also trains from Paris to Vire a major town about 30 mins away. If you are interested in the D Day landings this is the place of history with the counter attack!

Detached stone house in quiet rural hamlet

This detached house stands in a rural hamlet with superb views over open countryside.  The roof was relaced in 2006 to the rear and 2017 in the front. It was rewired in 2006.  It requires further modernisation to reach its full potential.  Viewing is highly recommended.

The property is between a village with a bar/restaurant and Sourdeval.  It is situated in the southwest of Normandy, near the borders of Manche and Calvados,  a few kilometers from Sourdeval, the nearest town. Only a few minutes drive away, the town offers every amenity including two banks and supermarkets. Market day is held every Tuesday morning, as is the livestock market.  The beaches on the west coast are an hour’s drive away and Sourdeval is approximately 80 minutes drive from the port of Caen and an hour and forty minutes from Cherbourg. A little further afield are the D-Day landing beaches, the Mont St Michel. The Lac de la Dathée, ideal for walking, fishing and boating, and an 18 hole golf course are within 15 minutes drive,  as is the Saint Sever forest.
