Perfect location, large garden and plot, flowers, shade in the heat , lovely village with convenience shop and big stores not far, tennis and petanque,  a lot of walks in the Cascades at Mortain, etc …Sea and beaches,  D-Day sites all around.  Mont St Michel, St Malo and Suisse Normandie …a top location – calm and friendly neighbours.  The house is South facing, perfect for a rest under the umbrella with a camembert and cider!

Detached country house with large garden in Normandy.

This detached house benefits from partial double glazing with lovely views over its own land and surrounding fields.   It is in a quiet rural hamlet.  The house was extended in 2011 to create additional living space.  It would make an idea holiday house with lots or possibilities  for walkers and cyclists and there is a big garden with space for badmington, a pool, etc. Viewing is highly recommended.

It is situated in the southwest of Normandy, a few kilometers from Mortain, the nearest town. Only a few minutes drive away, the town offers every amenity including Schools, banks, shops, Doctor’s surgery, outside swimming pool and supermarkets. Market day is held every Tuesday morning, as is the livestock market.  The beaches on the west coast are an hour’s drive away and Mortain is approximately 80 minutes drive from the port of Caen and an hour and forty minutes from Cherbourg. A little further afield are the D-Day landing beaches, the Mont St Michel. The Lac de la Dathée, ideal for walking, fishing and boating, and an 18 hole golf course are within 25 minutes drive,  as is the Saint Sever forest.  A mainline train station at Vire will take you to Paris in under 3 hours.
