Gorgeous detached colombage Cider Barn with gîte and outbuildings and land of over 2 acres.  Ideal home and income in quiet country position with no close neighbours.

The Cider Barn was lovingly restored by previous owners about 11 years ago and brought up to date by the present owners and benefits from double glazed hardwood windows with lift off frames for easy cleaning and spacious and versatile accommodation. The roof of the gîte has been re-tiledand a new twin car port (suitable for camping cars) has been built.  The dining room in the Cider Barn has stairs to 2 bedrooms above and could easily be separated to create another gîte.   There is one gîte which currently lets for up to £350 per week in peak season and attached to the Cider Barn are 2 outbuildings which would be ideal to extend the accommodation or create one or two extra gîtes. There are endless possibilities of further evolving the property and its surroundings and viewing is highly recommended to appreciate what is on offer.

The property is situated in the north west of France,  in the department of Orne in Normandy.  Within 5 minutes drive is the mediaeval market town of Domfront with shops, schools and all amenities.  Also nearby, you will find Lassay -les-Chateaux (13km), with its picturesque castle and lake. Bagnoles de l’Orne, about 22km away, is a spa resort set around a lake with a casino, many restaurants and shops.  La-Ferté-Macé (15km away) is a pretty town with a large Leclerc supermarket. The town has a leisure lake with a swimming beach, a climbing wall and a par-three golf course.   The larger town of Mayenne is 27 km away.  The UNESCO heritage site of Mont Saint Michel is 80km and the D-Day landing beaches are 112km.  The nearest mainline train station is at Flers (30km) with the TGV at Laval (52km) and airport and ferry are at Caen Carpiquet (76km).  Rennes airport is also within easy reach (98km).
